World Scouts Day
08 Dec 2008 12:58 pm
The students from the School for the Blind recently marked World Scouts Day by paying respect to the founder of the movement in Thailand and by performing some community service.
Every school child. boy or girl, becomes a Scout, and one day a week is reserved for activities to bring the students together and work for the benefit of the society.
Before a portrait of the founder of the scout movement in Thailand the students bowed their heads and in unison they raised their caps and placed them on their heads on the command of the scout leader at the school.
Following this the students performed community service in the local area, sweeping the pavements and picking up rubbish from the streets.
