Football in the rain

The annual rains have well and truly arrived and at the Hsa Thoo Lei School in Mae Sot the football pitch is flooded. But no matter how much rain had fallen and how deep the pitch was flooded with water, play was not halted. Each evening, once studies have finished, the boys go out for a game and they have a lot of fun. The game is taken very seriously by most, but the thick mud makes it very difficult for the players to show off their skills. There is a long line for the showers after play.
