Graduation

One more young man from the Father Ray Drop-In Centre has recently graduated from college, the second graduate in as many weeks. Bob has been with the Drop-In Centre for several years, originally living at the Father Ray Children’s Home. He moved to the Drop-In Centre a few months ago, and like many teenagers, he uses the Centre as a half-way house. These young people are not quite ready to go out into the world on their own: they still need some support, and they are learning to live more independently than if they were still residing at the Children’s Home.
Bob graduated from a local Beauty College and he is hoping to find employment as a make-up artist. He has ambitions of one day managing his own business, but he knows that he must start at the bottom, learn his trade in the work place and take advice from others.
When he is ready, he will leave us to go to live on his own, but he will always be made welcome at the Father Ray Foundation.
