Family building at The Garden of Eden

29 Oct 2008 12:02 pm

Work has started on a new building at Fr Giovanni Contarin's Garden of Eden project, supported by funding from Pattaya Orphanage Trust.  The Garden of Eden's main purpose is to ease back into regular life adults who are coming to terms with life as an HIV+ person.  Some of these adults have children and other family members who are not HIV+.

The new building will provide a home for up to 4 families while their parent is at the Camillian Social Centre and then enable the family to stay together while the HIV+ parent completes their treatment and rehabilitation.  It is close to local schools and facilities.  Each family has their own vegetable plot.
