Chenu has lost both her parents. Her mother was killed standing on a landmine, her father was shot by soldiers. Chenu is another casualty of Burma's brutal civil war. She now lives safely at Hsa Thoo Lei School in Thailand.
Hsa Thoo Lei provides a free education for 700 refugee children, and is home to about 200 children, like Chenu, whose parents are dead or who are still inside Burma. These children have, literally, nothing: they have lost their parents and home, and live in desperate poverty. The school is hopelessly under-funded, but struggles on, educating thesechildren and providing a home. Hsa ThooLei urgently needs sponsors.
