Yin's father died when he was three years old. His mother is HIV positive and very ill. He lives in a tiny Orphanage run by Social Action for Women in Mae Sot, on the Thai/Burmese border, another casualty of Burma's brutal civil war.

SAW provide a safe home for children who have lost everything- their home, their families, sometimes their parents or their health. It gives them love and security, and the tools to build a future for themselves. The Orphanage operates on a shoestring budget, but poor as it is it is a happy place. And it is the only hope that Yin and his friends have of an education, a future.

Please sponsor the work of SAW, and see the joy it will bring, through our regular updates of Yin.
