Street Children
Thailand is home to thousands of street children living in awful poverty, and often in great danger. They are lured to the bright lights and apparent wealth of tourist towns from homes in rural Thailand or surrounding countries. But the promise of easy money is seldom fulfilled; they find themselves living in slums, or sleeping on the streets, begging and struggling to survive in any way they can. Vulnerable through hunger and poverty, they are easy prey to exploitation by adults and often manipulated into the sex trade.
These young people require dedicated, special care. They have suffered abuse, neglect and betrayal. They need help and security to re-adjust to a more normal life and rediscover their childhood.In Pattaya, thanks to you, the Redemptorist Children's Home and the associated Drop-In-Centre provide a reliable way back from a life on the streets and a safe haven for vulnerable children.
Your support helps rescue street kids from the dangers of the street, and gives them back their childhood.
